Since the early 90s David has written numerous BBC, ITV and Channel 4 film scores and he is frequently commissioned by film makers in the USA such as National Geographic, Disney, Discovery, Animal Planet, and WNET New York to name a few. He has recently completed the score for David Attenborough's acclaimed final Life series Life In Cold Blood with fellow Bristol film composer Ben Salisbury.
His music on the National Geographic / PBS series Africa was also released separately and has become a prominent soundtrack album (Read Review). David has recorded sessions with numerous musicians over the years including Andy Sheppard, Will Gregory (Goldfrapp), Adrian Utley (Portishead), Paul Clarvis, Stuart Gordon (Peter Gabriel, Peter Hamill), Kit Morgan (Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson), Dirk Campbell, The King's Singers, Belinda Sykes, and Sonia Slany's Solid Strings, and more recently musicians from the London Philharmonic, and London Symphony orchestras, and also Bristol's own Emerald Ensemble.
